HI! MY NAME IS MAGDA!

Hi, I'm Magda Ferretti. I am an organizational psychologist, professionally and academically I deal with remote work and management of dispersed/ virtual teams. I love the sea, I'm from Szczecin, Poland and I live in the Italian city at the seaside Pescara together with my husband Giovanni and our kids: Krysia, Francesco and Antonio. I work remotely and conduct business trainings (both remote and face-to-face) all over the world!

  • Since 2018, I have been running workshops for managers of dispersed teams, currently I work with companies who create strategies for hybrid work and plan the return to the office.

  • I have a PhD title in Economics. In 2015, I defended my doctoral thesis on leadership in virtual teams at the Warsaw School of Economics.

  • I am the program director of the postgraduate studies "Remote and hybrid work management - the role of HR" at the Tischner European University.

Remote work and mission to connect people despite physical distance were always present in my life.

  • I have always been dreaming of a house at the seaside. As a ten-year-old together with my mum and sister in order to stay in touch with my dad, a seaman, we would send letters, faxes and e-mails.

  • When I was 20, I fell in love with an Erasmus student from Italy and discovered how Skype can connect people who are 1745 km apart.

  • From 2010, I regularly worked from home at Citibank as a Project Manager, and later as a Global Account Manager. Thanks to Webex, I worked with teams dispersed on 4 continents and was responsible for a portfolio of international clients worth over a billion dollars a year.

  • In 2015, at the Warsaw School of Economics, I defended my PhD thesis in business management for work on distributed leadership in virtual teams and gave a lecture on the strength of a distributed team that developed an algorithm for Netflix, never met in person and won a million dollars prize.

  • Since 2018, I have been working with company leaders, managers of dispersed teams, managers of remote teams and employees working from home. I run development projects, trainings and workshops on remote work, hybrid work and distributed teams. I meet startup owners who want to create the best working conditions for programmers without a physical office, as well as team managers who work together despite 15 different time zones. I completed the prestigious coaching course The Art & Science of Coaching and obtained the title of Erickson Certified Professional Coach.

Companies talk about digital transformation as if 90% of success was determined by technology and 10% by people” wrote Lucia Adams, Google mentor. I agree with Lucia, which is why I have been working with people for years on the more difficult part of digital transformation.
